In an effort to stop the virus’s transmission, Pakistan had already put in place a number of COVID-19 restrictions.
These included social distance rules, mask laws in public areas, and bans on major gatherings like religious and wedding ceremonies.
In order to stop the spread, the government also implemented sporadic lockdowns in areas where the number of cases was rising.
To reduce transmission, border bans and travel restrictions were also put into place.
The government launched initiatives to encourage people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and stressed the value of immunization.
However, there were regional differences in the degree of limitation compliance, with certain areas facing difficulties with both enforcement and adherence.
